The Woodlands Car Club Honors Fire Department’s Antique Engine as Part of 25th Anniversary Celebration

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- As The Woodlands Car Club marks its 25th anniversary, the organization will begin its milestone season with a meaningful tribute to The Woodlands Fire Department. The Woodlands Township Annual Boots vs. Badges Softball Game and The Woodlands Car Club Community Car Showcase will be held on Sunday, September 27 from 4 - 7 PM at McCullough Junior High School. The softball game and car show are free to attend and open to the community.

The Community Car Showcase will honor the longstanding partnership between the club and local first responders and recognize the early charitable efforts that helped bring the antique engine back to life. The Woodlands Car Club (TWCC) members came together at their 2003 charity car show to raise funds in support of the fire truck.

“Seeing that antique fire truck again brings everything full circle,” said Dana Pritchard, President of The Woodlands Car Club and one of the founding members. “Our members came together in 2003 to help support the antique fire truck, and today it stands as a reminder of what community collaboration can accomplish. Our anniversary is not just about celebrating cars. It is about celebrating people, partnerships, and the impact we have made together.”

Over the past quarter century, car enthusiasts in The Woodlands have gathered to share their passion for cars and strengthen the community through charitable giving. Since 2001, the club has contributed more than $175,000 to over 100 nonprofit organizations across Montgomery County. Established in March 2001 by a small group of local car lovers, the club has grown into a familiar part of Montgomery County’s community landscape. What began as a simple idea to bring people together through cars evolved into one of the club’s most defining missions — Using Our Cars to Give Back to Our Community, helping make a positive impact on everything TWCC does.

This anniversary season will honor the individuals who helped establish the club and set its mission of friendship, service and a shared love of cars. To celebrate the silver anniversary, the club will host several gatherings this fall for longtime supporters, community partners and the charities the organization has supported over the years.

The season will begin on Saturday, September 26 with a private tour of the Gullo Family Classic Car Museum in Magnolia, a special tradition that features the Gullo family’s private car collection. In recognition of the anniversary, attendees will be invited to contribute to the Gullo Christmas for Kids Charitable Foundation, a tradition that has been part of several past celebrations. The club also plans to honor the loving memory of Mr. Tony Gullo Sr., who is greatly missed since his passing in 2024.

A community celebration will follow on Saturday, November 14 at Becks Prime. Car enthusiasts, sponsors, charities and fellow car groups will gather for an evening recognizing the automotive community that has supported TWCC throughout its 25-year history. The anniversary season will conclude on Sunday, December 6 with The Woodlands Cars and Coffee for a Cause, the final event of the year. TWCC will be holding their annual Toy Drive benefiting the Montgomery County Women’s Center, along with year-end check presentations to Operation Pets Alive, and the 2026 Spotlight Charity, The Loved Ones Left Behind (TLOLB), a 501c3 nonprofit organization that helps families who have lost a parent to suicide. The event is free and open to the community.
