THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Known for its Texas cuisine with a Southern twist, The Republic Grille is marking the fifth anniversary of its original restaurant in The Woodlands located at 4775 W. Panther Creek in the Panther Creek Shopping Center.

Restaurant will give a portion of proceeds week of May 13th to First Responders Charities.

The Woodlands resident Terry McBurney created the concept, which debuted in 2014 to offer a blend of Texas and Southern cuisine in an eclectic Hill County atmosphere. In celebration of this anniversary, McBurney said the restaurant will donate a portion of proceeds from sales during the week of May 13-19 to The Woodlands Fire Department and Montgomery County Sherriff’s Office.

“The local community has been very supportive of us over the last five years and we are extremely grateful,” said McBurney, Founder and Managing Partner. “As we celebrate this exciting milestone, we want to give back by supporting the firefighters and police officers who put their lives on the line each and every day they suit up. We invite the public to dine with us May 13th through May 19th and not only help us support this worthwhile cause but recognize the important service of our first responders.”

The Republic Grille is well known for serving award-winning, high-quality cuisine at reasonable prices. One of their signature dishes, their award winning “Chicken Fried Steak”, was recently upgraded to certified Akaushi (Aka-ooshie) beef, aka American Wagyu. Other signature dishes include the popular Chicken Woodlands with its grilled chicken breast topped with goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and lemon basil sauce, as well as the double cut pork chop glazed with maple syrup and creole mustard and the Carolina-style shrimp and grits. Patrons will also find an array of other favorites from certified Angus beef burgers to a dozen choices of light but satisfying salads and appetizers.

The Republic Grille’s casual ambiance with a Hill-Country décor is highlighted by historical photos of The Woodlands and its creator, George Mitchell. Private Dining is available including two 40-seat private dining rooms for meetings and special occasions – and an expansive patio with bistro-style umbrella tables offering a relaxed outdoor dining experience. The full-service eatery offers a full bar with craft beer and an expansive wine list.

In 2016, McBurney added a second location to serve the West Woodlands and Magnolia areas at 30340 FM 2978 (at the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and F.M. 2978) which showcases decorative elements of the Montgomery County community.

Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, The Republic Grille is often rated #1 on Trip Advisor. McBurney has plans to open two additional locations strategically located across Montgomery County in the coming year.
