Charming Charlie in The Woodlands Closing After Company Filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

THE WOODLANDS, TX - Charming Charlie in The Woodlands is set to close, along with all of their 261 stores in 38 states, after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

This is the second time the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which industry leaders call a 'Chapter 22' bankruptcy. The closing of their stores is, in part, due to poor sales, unsustainable operating expenses, and onerous leases. The competition of online retailers also contributed to the closings.

Going-out-of-business sales have already begun at most stores, with the company expected to vacate all of their stores by August 31.
