Memorial Hermann Earns Top Recognition by U.S. News & World Report

HOUSTON, TX - TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital ranked No. 4 among the country’s top rehabilitation hospitals in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospital rankings for 2019-2020. TIRR Memorial Hermann has been included in the prestigious rankings since the report’s inception in 1989.

TIRR Memorial Hermann is the highest ranked rehabilitation hospital in Texas and has been included in the Top 10 rehabilitation hospitals nationally for the past 30 years.

Several Memorial Hermann service lines are ranked nationally in the 2019-2020 report. Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center ranked 43rd in orthopedics and Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital ranked 26th in pediatric cardiology and heart surgery and 41st in pediatric neurology and neurosurgery

Memorial Hermann-TMC ranked as the No. 6 best hospital in Texas and the No. 4 hospital in the Houston metro area. Also making the Top 10 statewide rankings were Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital at No. 5 and Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center at No. 9.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, now in their 30th year, are designed to assist patients and their physicians in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or for common elective procedures.

For the 2019-20 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. In the 16 specialty areas, 165 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. In rankings by state and metro area, U.S. News recognized hospitals as high performing across multiple areas of care.
