THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Charities gets ready for bloodcurdling 3rd Annual Into the Woods Halloween Party. The ghostly night will be on Oct. 19 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel.

Get your costumes ready for the spookiest event of the year because it's almost time for the 3rd Annual Into the Woods Halloween Party.

All of the proceeds from this spooky gathering will go to the Assistance League Montgomery County to aid with Operation School Bell, which provides school clothes to underprivileged children.

'Operation School Bell has been clothing children in Montgomery County since 1988 when the program began,' Chairwoman Beverly Haak said. 'It's such an amazing project; that's why we choose the Assistance League.'

The Montgomery chapter now serves all six school districts in the county. Operation School Bell provides new school clothes to over 4,000 area kids annually.

'It's amazing seeing the difference Operation School Bell makes in the community,' Judy Love, Assistance League Montgomery County President said. 'We get letters all the time from children and parents saying how much the program has impacted the child's confidence.'

In a recent letter to the Assistance League, a parent wrote 'Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping my daughter have a successful start to her first-grade career. Her whole face lit up as she was empowered to make choices about back-to-school clothing. We are recent survivors of repeat domestic violence and your support makes a significant positive impact.'

The hair-raising endeavors of the night will be complete with casino games, fortune tellers and a boos and spirits pull. Guests can dance the night away after becoming enchanted by the live band. Mystery boxes will be on sale with the grand prize being a trip to Costa Rica.

'This year will be better than ever,' Director and Co-Founder James Stilwell said. 'There will be so many fun things to do at the party, and it's for a great cause.'

Call the ghosts and goblins and creep in early for a cocktail hour beginning at 6 p.m. Let the CHI LCS-NH School of Cosmetology transform your makeup and hair and get you ready for the costume contest.

'The party has so much to offer; there is something for everyone,' Director and Co-Founder Nina Marino said. 'It's going to be a lot of fun. Everyone needs to get their tickets and support the amazing work of the Assistance League.'

Along with buying a ticket to Into the Woods, there are more ways and opportunities to support The Woodlands Charities and the Assistance League. Please visit www.thewoodlandscharities.org/events to sponsor an event, purchase a ticket or learn more about The Woodlands Charities.

'We have a great cause every year but this one is one that is very close to my heart,' Director and Co-Founder Amy Milstead said. 'The funds that are raised at Into the Woods will go directly to helping the kids of our community and I think that's an amazing thing.'
