THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC), has announced
Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market will soon open on the ground level of the eight-story multifamily residences, Two Lakes Edge, in Hughes Landing® - an award-winning 79-acre mixed-use development in The Woodlands®.

Occupying 2,838 square feet with an approximately 900-square-foot patio, the chef-driven sandwich and salad restaurant will offer creative sandwiches, soulful salads, vegan options and local artisanal breads along with local wines and craft beers in an upscale yet casual setting.

Mendocino Farms joins the recently announced StretchLab and Row House at Two Lakes Edge, which is planning a spring opening.

“Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market is a perfect addition to the retail and dining options within Hughes Landing,” said Rip Reynolds, Vice President of Leasing and Commercial Land for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “While helping the local economy with food from local farms and artisans, Mendocino Farms provides the perfect complement to diversify the lineup of eating options in Hughes Landing for residents, tenants and guests.”

Born in California, Mendocino Farms currently has 29 locations in their home state. Within the past year, they’ve made a concentrated effort to open more stores to communities in Houston. The Woodlands will mark their fifth restaurant in the Greater Houston area.

“Mendocino Farms is a neighborhood gathering place serving chef-driven, thoughtfully-sourced sandwiches and salads with white tablecloth hospitality. Our name pays tribute to Mendocino County, located on the north coast of California, known for its support of the Slow Food Movement and sustainable farming,” said Reid Tussing, Chief Development Officer for Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market. “Our seasonally rotating menu features fine dining quality ingredients sourced from deserving local farms and food artisans. We push the limits of what a simple sandwich or salad can be by envisioning our restaurants as gathering places where friends, families, and coworkers can come together over a good meal.”

Jeremy Zidell from RUE and Zach Hoffer from The Retail Connection represented Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market. Rip Reynolds represented The Howard Hughes Corporation in-house.
