Woodlands Online’s New Podcast Channel Entertains the Community and Features Local Businesses

THE WOODLANDS, TX – From pop culture, business, music, sports, religion and beyond, our new podcast channel is a place to find various types of entertainment produced and created by and for the community. We currently stream five shows; Between the Trees Business Talk, Nerd News Now, Music Café, Weekly Fall-Out Sports Talk, and Glory to God, On the Go.
“We have no plans to settle there,” said Justin Woods, Video Production and Broadcast Manager for Woodlands Online. “We will be coming out with new podcasts soon.”
Each segment is thirty minutes to an hour. The shows air on our Woodlands Online podcast page first, and can then be listened to on iTunes, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Google Podcast, and Lone Star Radio in Conroe TX, with more streaming services to come. The shows are videoed as well, broadening the platforms they can be featured on and the audience they can reach.
“The podcast channel is a great marketing tool for businesses,” Woods said. “Their ads can be displayed on the main podcast page, or the individual show pages. Businesses can also become a show sponsor - they would get graphic ads added to the show, and the hosts would mention them multiple times during each segment,” he said.
Between the Trees Business Talk is hosted by JJ Hollie, President and CEO of The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, which is the largest business organization in the Houston region, representing more than 1,500 companies. Guests have included Congressman Kevin Brady, Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough, Commissioner Charlie Riley, and CISD Superintendent Dr. Curtis Null.
The interviews are casual in nature. They’re recorded/filmed at our office studio, where our equipment is cleaned and the guest and host’s chairs are set apart.
“I wanted to create a podcast channel filled with multiple podcasts to ultimately reach more people with our content,” Woods said. “To have another place with content that anyone can relate to on various levels.”
