Hispanic Heritage Month Takes Center Stage at Market Street’s El Mercado – Sunday, September 27

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Market Street is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a unique event, El Mercado, happening Sunday, September 27 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm in Central Park.

Hispanic vendors will line Central Park throughout the free, family-friendly event which features activities for children from 11:00 am – Noon, ballet folklorico performances from Noon – 1:00 pm, and live music from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.

Two Market Street tenants, Blue Mercury and Jo Malone, are continuing the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration all month long.

Blue Mercury is showcasing beauty brand Tata Harper Skincare – created by Colombian entrepreneur Tata Harper. Her skincare line, created straight from her farm in Vermont, received an ECOCERT rating. ECOCERT brands are held to strict standards for natural and organic cosmetic ingredients, sourcing and processing to remain certified. Additionally, Blue Mercury is featuring Beauty Blender, founded by first generation Mexican American entrepreneur and makeup artist Rea Ann Silva. The iconic application sponge is revolutionizing how women apply makeup.

Jo Malone has created a vibrant in-store collection inspired by El Mercado. The playful fragrances in the Veggie Collection are inspired by the rich tapestry of Hispanic peoples and their cultures. On the day of El Mercado, guests making a qualifying purchase will receive a token of appreciation and a Veggie Collection scarf.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is annually observed from September 15 to October 15 in the United States for recognizing the contributions and influence of Hispanic culture to the nation's achievements, culture, and history.
