THE WOODLANDS, TX -- 02/18/21 9:30AM Energy Outages & TWT Updates:

Entergy:

11k Still without power
200 in The Woodlands still out with local Pad Mount or Underground Transformers failing. These are hyperlocal transformers serving 5-10 homes or single apartment buildings. It is expected for these to be repaired today. May take all day as these are longer repair times and widespread in the county.

If you are out of power it is recommended you re-report your outage to make sure you are on their list.

Power generation has stabilized and we are in MISO condition Yellow. This is an awareness level to keep an eye on weather and usage. Last night we were in Red which meant we were close to load management requirements.

Roads are looking good but be careful on bridges.

Centerpoint:

It looks like most of The Woodlands service area is back on. There may be similar isolated equipment failures. If you are without power it is recommended you re-report your outage.

Township Facilities Update:
Township facilities will be closed Thursday. The only exception is the Rob Fleming Recreation Center which is now open for use as a day-time warming facility. Public meetings with The Woodlands Township have been cancelled or postponed, except for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors meeting, which will be held via videoconference.

Waste Collection:
Garbage collection service is cancelled for Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in response to the hazardous road conditions resulting from the winter weather. Waste Management will start collection services on Thursday, February 18, 2021 for all residents that have Thursday service, and Friday residents will be serviced on Friday. The normal schedule will resume next week, with anticipated higher volumes on the first three days of the week. The overall goal is to finish each day, but some homes may be carried over and serviced the next morning.
