Combined Efforts During Traffic Stop Yields 42 Kilos of Methamphetamine

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On 7/24/2021, around 6:30pm, Deputies from Pct. 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden’s Office and Pct. 1 Constable Phillip Cash’s Office stopped a vehicle for several traffic violations in Montgomery County. During the traffic stop, 42 kilos of methamphetamine, with a value of approximately half of a million dollars, were located inside the vehicle. Also inside the vehicle deputies located a loaded handgun. The sole occupant, Jesus Acevedo-Vital, a Mexican National, was arrested for felony manufacturer/delivery of a controlled substance and felony unlawful carrying of a weapon.

This enforcement is a direct result of the overtime funding recently approved by the Montgomery County Judge and Commissioners. Constable Hayden and Constable Cash’s Office work diligently each and every day to make Montgomery County a great place for all. Constable Hayden and Constable Cash both want to thank County Judge Keough and the Montgomery County Commissioners for approving the overtime for deputies to work the street, focusing on heavy enforcement on our county highways.
