CONROE, TX -- Few people can brag that they LOVE doing laundry. Patric Richardson enjoys doing laundry and is very enthusiastic about serving others by sharing tips to make their life easier by doing laundry.

“You cannot let clothes be the boss. Take control, change your mindset, and look at the opportunity to serve yourself and others,” said Richardson, author of Laundry Love, Finding Joy in a Common Chore. Richardson was intrigued with laundry since the age of 3 when he received a toy washing machine from Santa. “Laundry is done as an act of love or service to others. You GET to do laundry!

Patric shares his expertise at Laundry Camps, which prompted his book, Laundry Love now in its fourth printing and a television show, The Laundry Guy on HGTV and Discovery+. Patric was featured in both local and national media including Live with Kelly and Ryan, the Washington Post, Good Morning LA, the Wall Street Journal, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, The New York Times, WGN, Twin Cities Live, the Pioneer Press, GMA3, The Tamron Hall Show, and internationally with the BBC, The Globe and Mail and Die Welt.

Richardson received an undergraduate degree in Merchandising Apparel and Textiles from the University of Kentucky and went on to a career in luxury fashions at McAlpins, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom before opening his own designer vintage store, Mona Williams. He enjoys tackling challenges of washing and shares his testimony that all clothing can be cared for at home alleviating the need for a dry-cleaning service.

He started classes in how to care for the clothing he sold and gave tips on laundry using fine laundry products. This created a buzz in his community of Minneapolis/St. Paul and soon made headlines in the local Star Tribune. Richardson has continued to offer in person Laundry Tips every week. He boasts there is not a stain on a garment that is too tough for him to remove.
“Add a disco ball into your laundry room. When you are there in your third cycle, ironing, or hanging clothes turn on the music, have a glass of wine, and utilize your alone time away from other members of the household”

Patric Richardson will be appearing both Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6 at the Montgomery County Home and Outdoor Living Show at the Lone Star Convention Center. He encourages attendees to the show to ask questions with the biggest laundry challenges you have and stay for a book signing.
