It can’t be denied that the topic of firearms is in the headlines and on people’s tongues. But one inarguable fact is that the more a person learns about guns and gun safety, the better outcomes are possible. So it’s great that Spring Guns and Ammo is holding a Defensive Pistol class at its Spring location. Training will be two hours. The class is designed to further refine the shooter’s skills relating to the defensive use of a pistol. Needed equipment includes firearm (available for rent if needed), 100 rounds of ammunition (available onsite for purchase), ear and eye protection, and two magazines for the firearm

It’s time for some fun ways to learn about keeping safe at The annual Public Safety Open House at Fire Station 6. The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch encourages residents to stop, drop and roll into a local fire station this summer and experience the lights and sirens of public safety equipment. Get an up-close look at fire apparatus, rescue units and the fire station where it all happens. This is an especially good opportunity for children to learn about fire safety and meet the firefighters who help keep our neighborhoods safe. In addition, law enforcement personnel from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit or Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4 will also be present to join in the fun and help educate the community. Children of all ages are invited to visit with deputies and see a patrol vehicle. The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch will also be providing residents with all the details on the upcoming National Night Out events.
