Woodlands High-School Student, Simon Val, Shares His Debut Album With the World - ‘Young Love’

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- For most of us, teenage years hold memories of the very first love. Many would like to turn back time to experience those butterflies and thrills again. At only 15 years of age, Simon Val has found a way to capture and store all of these feelings through music, in what is called ‘Young Love,’ his debut album, released on all streaming platforms on October 28, 2022.

Recorded at the Red Tree Recording Studio from Magnolia, Texas, in between ages of 14 and 15, this album reveals to the world Simon’s passion for music and theatre. The Broadway performer recalls: ‘For as long as I can remember I’ve loved singing. My parents said that I hummed Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida” before I could even talk. As soon as I turned 8, I started doing musicals with a local theatre company and I fell in love with the stage. At 12, I had the opportunity to perform in a benefit on Broadway and share the stage with many Broadway legends. Then at 14, I released my first single “My Heart Texts You”, and this is where the idea of producing a full album was born.’

Holding many medals won over the last 10 years as a nationally ranked epee fencer, Simon is ready to duel for his place in the Music Industry. With weapons like soulful lyrics, charismatic looks and soothing vocals, he already started conquering hearts with the first songs he put out.

‘Young Love’ - out now via Eclata Records, artist’s own label, contains 7 tracks. Besides the singles he already released, Simon has included one more song that is coming out with the album, called ‘Home’.

Hailing from the state of Texas, 15-year-old Simon is a talented singer and award-winning film actor who is unafraid to be vulnerable and honest in his art. He appeared in many local musical theatre productions and has performed on Broadway. He has trained vocally with opera and musical theatre stars and performed in showcases in both the United States and England. Simon is also a nationally ranked epee fencer with many national and regional medals under his belt. He has recently qualified for the US Cadet International Fencing Team and will fence for the United States on the European Cadet Circuit in Grenoble, France in mid-November.
