It’s Thanksgiving Week and there are a ton of events around The Woodlands for families and solo fliers alike. Here’s a special Top 5 for you to check out!

All Week
Glide into the magic of the holiday season at The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center from now through mid-January. Enjoy indoor ice skating at the 21,000 square-foot facility located at the intersection of Six Pines and Lake Robbins, next to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The Ice Rink offers birthday parties and rink rentals, plus ice skating lessons. Hours are Mondays through Thursdays 3 to 9 p.m., Fridays 3 to 11 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and
Sundays noon to 6 p.m., with revised holiday hours.

Tuesday, November 22
It’s Princess Day at The Woodlands Children’s Museum today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wear your best Princess attire and train to be a knight, and also create Princess Day Crowns and Knight Swords. Enjoy photo opportunities with Rapunzel, Belle, The Unicorn Princess and Shrek throughout the day. This event is included in the price of admission, which is $7.50 for adults and children 1 year and older. Thursday, November 24
A local Thanksgiving morning tradition for 33 years now is the YMCA Run Thru the Woods, which has supported local nonprofit organizations with the goal of strengthening The Woodlands, Spring and Oak Ridge communities. The event brings thousands of community members together for entertainment and runs/walks designed for all ages; there is a 1-mile kids race, a 5-mile run, and a 3-mile run, with the Start/Finish Line and Post Race Party at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

Friday - Sunday, November 25 - 27

Are you wanting to be shook all night long? There’s a band who knows how to shoot to thrill any people who are about to rock. So head on out to Dosey Doe - The Big Barn tonight for an exciting, high energy reproduction of a concert act of AC/DC with the amazing tribute band Back in Black. Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner being served until 8:30. Age restriction is 10 and over, minors must be accompanied by an adult
