Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Responds to Barricaded Subject In Conroe

CONROE, TX -- On November 21, 2022, at about 9:00 pm, MCTXSheriff’s deputies responded to an Assault with a Firearm call in the 1400 block of Ashland Drive in Conroe. Upon arrival, deputies learned that Josemario Gazca-Navarette, 25 year-old male had discharged a firearm multiple times during an argument with a neighbor. Gazca-Navarrette then returned to his home, also on Ashland Drive, where he barricaded himself in the residence with family members.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Negotiation Team, SWAT, and Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives responded to the scene. After a short standoff, Gazca-Navarette was taken into custody without incident. Gazca-Navarette will be charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. All family members were unharmed and accounted for on scene.
