Statement from the Oak Ridge North Police Chief regarding the death of Tyre Nichols

OAK RIDGE NORTH, TX -- By now many of you, as well as myself, have seen the video involving the arrest of Tyre Nichols in Memphis, Tennessee. The actions of those five ex-officers and or the actions of any other personnel on scene that has not been named is APPALLING and DISGUSTING. It is disgusting that any human would treat another human in the manner that we witnessed on those videos. It is disgusting that not one of those ex-officers would have the fortitude to say, “This is not right”, and attempt to stop the actions taken by others.

That video DOES NOT represent your Oak Ridge North Police Officers! All Oak Ridge North Police Officers are expected to treat every person with Dignity, Compassion and Respect.
