National Youth Theater Wins Broadwayworld Houston Awards

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Leading the pack was the production of Peter Pan with three wins and two runner-up citations; followed by the production of Lion King, Jr. with one win and three runner-up citations. NYT won the following BroadwayWorld Awards: Best Choreography of a Play or Musical (Peter Pan), Best Direction of a Musical (Peter Pan), Best Musical (Lion King, Jr.), and Best Theatre for Young Audiences Production (Peter Pan).

Currently, NYT is producing Seussical, The Sound of Music, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat this spring. Seussical is set to take the stage March 10-12 at Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball, The Sound of Music is March 24-26 at Nancy Bock Center for the Performing Arts in The Woodlands, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is April 21-23 at Lynn Lucas Performing Arts Center in Willis.

National Youth Theater (NYT) is a Christian Ministry with the mission of engaging students in life changing experiences through the performing arts. NYT’s goal is to help encourage and grow kids to become confident, engaged Christian adults.
