New York Times bestselling author Katherine Center will headline The John Cooper School's 22nd Annual Signatures Author Series on Friday, December 4, 2026, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center.

Known for stories filled with heart, humor, resilience, and unforgettable characters, Center has captivated readers across the country with bestselling novels including The Bodyguard, Hello Stranger, Things You Save in a Fire, and How to Walk Away. Her work has also made the leap from page to screen, bringing her uplifting storytelling to an even wider audience.

Born and raised in Houston, where she still lives today, Center's appearance gives this year's Signatures event a special hometown connection.

Chaired this year by Drew and Melanie Creel, the luncheon will feature Center's keynote presentation, along with visiting authors, book signings, and an exclusive VIP reception for sponsors. Additional featured authors and programming will be announced in the coming months.

But Signatures is more than an afternoon with celebrated authors. The event is a premier annual fundraiser benefiting innovations in The John Cooper School's Visual and Performing Arts programs, helping create opportunities for Cooper students to explore, create, perform, and bring new ideas to life.
