It looks like it’s going to be a rainy week, but that doesn’t mean your eventful plans are washed out. Here’s our weekly list of our top things to do this week, come rain or shine!

Wednesday, May 10
The Woodlands Family YMCA
invites senior adults to stop by and experience the YMCA today 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Shadowbend Y. The Annual Open House and Senior Services Vendor Fair will give our Forever Young Seniors a chance to experience what the YMCA has to offer, such as wellness classes, social gatherings, volunteering and learning opportunities. The YMCA ForeverWell program provides opportunities for all to make this chapter in life the best one yet. This is a Free Community Event. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 200 guests sponsored by Oak Haven Apartment Homes. Planned activities include a vendor fair, games, refreshments, information on Y senior programs & senior services in the community, tours, demos, photo booth, door prizes, giveaways, shingles and pneumonia vaccines, and much more. At 12:45 p.m., a complimentary lunch will be served. In addition, there will be a bingo social from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m! Event is free but Registration is required. You may qualify for a free YMCA Membership through your Insurance Provider.

Friday, May 12
Head on over to The Woodlands Children’s Museum
to join in a Prelude Family interactive musical experience with a sing-a-long concert. A perfect partnership for the museum, Prelude believes that music helps build community, heals souls and helps children and parents bond. Prelude Music Classes for Children was founded by husband-and-wife team Ana Treviño-Godfrey and Jonathan Godfrey. The acclaimed opera singer and renowned violinist also are the founders of Mercury Orchestra and believe that every child has musical ability. This concert is included in the price of admission, which is $8 for adults and children 1 year and older.

Community Assistance Center (CAC)
invites the community to the 2023 Legacy Luncheon today at the Lake Conroe Margaritaville Resort with the silent auction and mimosas starting at 10:30 a.m. The event will honor local leaders, business partners, faith partners, fellow service organizations, and the amazing power of volunteers. Among The Legacy Award honorees include recipient Janet Stilwell, Faith Partner of the Year – The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church, Community Partner of the Year – Conroe Noon Lions Club, and the Distinguished Service Award (volunteer of the year) – Janet Thompson. Community Assistance Center (CAC) is thrilled to welcome TEDTalk Speaker and Founder of Aidan Cares, Aidan Anderson.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
will truly be rocking it today and tonight. It’s time for Buzzfest 2023 featuring Godsmack with I Prevail, The Struts, Highly Suspect, Giovannie & The Hired Guns, and The Warning.
