Swift Response by TWFD Prevents Extensive Damage as Fire Erupts in Creekside Park Home; Investigation Underway

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At 7 this morning a passing motorist noticed smoke coming from a home on Papado Trails in the Village of Creekside Park and called 911. The Woodlands Fire Department responded and when crews arrived on scene they located a fire in the ceiling of a detached structure extending into the attic. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and contain the damage to the outside structure, the main house was unaffected. Fire appears to have originated in a fireplace. TWFD was assisted by Spring Fire Department and Magnolia Fire Department. Harris County Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause. Creekside Park Village Association
