Doggie wishes come true at Woodlands Eco Realty’s ‘Santa Paws’ event
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Woodlands Eco Realty and Pure Mutts Animal Sanctuary once again celebrated the season by hosting the annual ‘Santa Paws’ event for clients and community alike.
Last weekend, dozens of dogs and their furless families descended upon the offices of Woodlands Eco Realty on Interstate 45 to meet and have their photos taken with Santa, who appeared courtesy of local arts company Points North Theatre. Photographers from c3 - Creative Content Creations manned the cameras that were specially equipped with high-speed shutters to capture wriggly pups without blurring the shots.
“I love partnering with these businesses and organizations to bring Santa Paws to the community because they’re family friendly and our pets are family, too,” said Priyanka Johri, owner of Woodlands Eco Realty. Johri also runs Pure Mutts, a sanctuary for special needs dogs.
Santa Paws started as an internal business event for WER clients five years ago, but soon Johri opened it up to the entire community as an event replete with special mailboxes to the North Pole that children could put their letters in, refreshments and hot cocoa, a snow machine, an outdoor doggie run and inflatable obstacle course, and of course photos with Santa himself… all for no cost (though people were encouraged to bring a bag or can of dog food as a donation for the sanctuary).
“We realized that some families didn’t have time to stand in line at the mall, or they could only find places that didn’t allow pets, or that some couldn’t even afford to pay for photos, so definitely Santa Paws is here to stay,” said Johri, encouraging people to book early for next Christmas.
