It’s a short week as we lull between Christmas and New Year’s, but that doesn’t mean we’re not jam-packed with exciting events! We’ll have a special New Year’s Guide ready to tell you how to party hearty on New Year’s Eve and Day, but in the meantime here’s some family-fun events for you to participate in.

All Week

It’s the last full week you can strap on the ice skates and get some great skating in. The Woodlands Township invites residents and visitors alike to enjoy The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center this holiday season. The 21,000-square-foot permanent multipurpose facility features ice skating in a main room with lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system, tables for parties, and concessions. The Ice Rink has special hours for New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

Tuesday - Friday, December 26 - 29

It’s the final week for you to experience the joy of the season with your family at The Festival of Lights at Woodlands Church. This outdoor holiday experience includes a walkthrough light display show, music, and a family-friendly experience for all ages. Enjoy warm cocoa and cider as you make lasting family memories. Proceeds benefit local missions. Ticket Price: $10 (children 4 and under are free)

Wednesday - Friday, December 27 - 29

Have your kiddos join Maximum Athletics - The Woodlands for their Holly Jolly Camp for ages 5 - 14 years old. Looking for a winter camp whose memory will last a lifetime? Come join in for three days full of running, jumping, climbing, vaulting, scaling, and tumbling. There will be games, water fun, movie time, crafts, trampolines, obstacle courses, and more. Cost: $115; $5 Sibling Discount; $10 Deposit Per Child.

Friday, December 29

The Branch Crossing YMCA is hosting a special holiday blood drive. Saving lives feels good, and every blood donation helps make a difference in someone’s life. The hour you take out of your day to donate blood helps a patient in the hospital spend more time with their family. All donors will receive a cozy warm hoodie! The Blood Donor Coach will be parked at the Branch Crossing YMCA 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. Appointments are highly encouraged but walk-ups are welcomed, based on space available.

Saturday, December 30

The Woodlands Children’s Museum is hosting three separate sessions of its annual High Noon Countdown today! Celebrate with a balloon drop designed for the little ones. Create a special New Year’s Hat art project and enjoy entertainment by Tom’s Fun Band. Children and families are provided an opportunity to embellish their own time capsule containing a few prompts to record special and endearing information for the year 2023. Children 1-13 $20, Adults $10, under one free.
