Tuesday, January 9

Business After Hours is a complimentary social presented by The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, providing you with opportunities to meet, mingle, and build relationships with other area business professionals. Business After Hours rotates to different Chamber Member business locations monthly. This month’s event is sponsored by the Tough Law Firm, PLLC and takes place at Two Tones Dueling Piano Bar. Reservations are required; the event is complimentary to members and only $20 for guests and non-members.

Thursday, January 11

Shadow Puppet Theatre, starting at 11 a.m. at The Woodlands Children’s Museum, presents ‘If You Give a Mouse a Cookie’ by Laura Numeroff. This beloved picture book follows Mouse, who, when given a cookie, then asks for a glass of milk… and on it goes! This fun event is included in the price of admission, which is $9 for adults and children 1 year and older. Shadow Puppet Theatre is an introduction to storytelling elements that allow our readers and audience to interact directly with each other; children of all ages are enchanted with the animated shadows.

‘Conroe Conjuring’ is a monthly evening of magic at the Historic Owen Theatre in Downtown Conroe, starring magicians that you have seen performing on television, on cruise ships around the world, and in comedy clubs and casino showrooms around the country in a clean family-friendly evening of magic and comedy. This month, performer Harry Maurer is a top entertainer in casino showrooms around the country and an ‘Atlantic City Entertainer of the Year Award’ nominee and within minutes will have you amazed and laughing out loud with comedy and magic for an unforgettable evening of entertainment. What a great date night or a night to just have fun with family and friends.

It’s hard to believe, but Pokemon has been a major international example of the zeitgeist since 1996, and it’s not going anywhere soon. Kids all over love it, and Learning Express knows it. Join them for a Pokemon ‘Trade-and-Play’ event today from 1 - 3 p.m. Pokemon Professor Aidan will facilitate the activities, which include card trading and game-play.
