Numerous local seats are up for grabs for May 4 Election Day

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Though The Woodlands Township Board of Directors elections happened this past November, the local voting scene is still in full swing. Numerous city and municipal positions are on the slate for Oak Ridge North, Shenandoah, Conroe, and Montgomery for Election Day coming May 4.

Filing is open through Feb. 16

Filing for all positions opened earlier this week and will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, February 16. Candidates wishing to file should click on https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/ to get all information needed. The last day to register to vote in the May 4 election is April 4, and early voting for the May 4 election runs April 22 - 30.

Offices up for election on May 4 include:

Conroe

  • Mayor – incumbent Jody Czajkoski
  • City Council, Place 1 – incumbent Todd Yancey
  • City Council, Place 2 – incumbent Curt Maddux

Montgomery

  • Mayor – incumbent Byron Sanford.
  • City Council, Place 2 – incumbent Casey Olson
  • City Council, Place 4 – incumbent Cheryl Fox
  • Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees, Position 4 – incumbent Trey Kirby
  • MISD board of trustees, Position 5 – incumbent Linda Porten

Oak Ridge North

  • Mayor – incumbent Paul Bond
  • Council Place 1 – incumbent Rick Moffatt
  • Council Place 3 – incumbent Alex Jones

Shenandoah

  • Mayor – incumbent John G. Escoto
  • City Council, Position 1 – incumbent Ron Raymaker
  • City Council, Position 5 – incumbent Michael McLeod

Candidates for all offices who wish to be considered as a write-in have until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20 to file their declaration of candidacy.
