Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission to host City of Conroe Candidate Political Forum

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission is hosting a candidate forum for the upcoming City of Conroe elections. The event will take place on April 18 starting at 6 p.m. at the Owen Theatre, 225 Metcalf St in Conroe.

A half-hour meet-and-greet session will occur first, followed by forums for those running for Conroe City Mayor and City Council positions 1 and 2. The evening will conclude with a Q&A session.

The election season for Conroe is already heating up, with legal issues complicating matters. As a result, Conroe voters are encouraged to attend and get their questions answered.

Currently running for Mayor are Duke Coon, Kristin Wilkinson-Guardino, and Todd Yancey; current Mayor Jody Czajkoski did not file to run for re-election. For City Council, Place 1, Thomas R. Bersch, David Hairel, Susan Johnson, and Carl White are running. And for City Council, Place 2, Shana Arthur and Betty Boren Avery are challenging incumbent Curt Maddux.

The election will take place on May 4, 2024.
