MONTGOMERY, TX -- Adults will want to hire a babysitter for a honky tonk date night at Pine Market in Woodforest, 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 17.

The Cool Water Band will take the stage during Boot Scootin’ Boogie at the Park at Pine Market, 885 Pine Market Avenue. In addition to the opportunity to two-step and line dance, attendees are invited to test their luck on a mechanical bull. The event is free.

'As date nights go, this is pretty unique,' said Cameron VanNorman,
Events and Marketing Coordinator for Pine Market. 'Couples can have dinner at one of Pine Market's great restaurants then head to the park for an evening of singing and dancing.'

Known for its mix of classic and Texas Country with a side of rock-n-roll, The Cool Water Band has opened for Roger Creager, David Allan Coe, Neal McCoy and Honeybrowne. The local band also performed with Kevin Fowler, Mickey Gilley, Max Stalling and Charlie Robison.

The Park at Pine Market is an open-air event space featuring a turf, covered stage and restrooms. Bistro and picnic tables provide seating. More than 30 shops and restaurants have opened their doors at Pine Market, a 40-acre mixed-use development.
