THE WOODLANDS, TX – Quote of the week: “A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawnmower is broken.” — James Dent

At long last it’s officially summer. Here are some events that are as equally hot as the weather is going to get. Be warned that the weather is predicted to turn gnarly for the first part of the week, so make sure any events you want to go to aren’t rained out before you leave the house!

Tuesday, June 18

While your favorite Looney Tunes tickle your funny bone on the big screen, hear the Houston Symphony play the fantastical mixture of classical and modern symphony pieces that originally scored these iconic cartoons – live at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion! It's the perfect introduction to the symphony for a young family, and it's sure to feature some classical deep cuts you never expected to star alongside the most famous rabbit in the world. Conducted and created by George Daugherty, Bugs Bunny at the Symphony took the symphony orchestra world by storm, and pioneered the brand new concept of ‘live orchestra and big screen’ concerts. And best of all, it’s completely free! You don't even need a ticket.
