South Montgomery County 4th of July Parade judges announce parade participant winners
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The judging panel for the South Montgomery County 4th of July Parade announced the winners from the parade, which recently celebrated its 48th year with the theme “Saluting the Past. Celebrating the Future” amongst thousands of visitors.
The following awards were presented at the Red, Hot and Blue Festival on July 4th in Town Green Park:
- Most Beautiful Entry Award – Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center
- Best Use of Theme Award – Woodforest National Bank
- Best Musical Award – Class Act Productions
- Most Patriotic Entry Award – Bradbury Brothers
- Best Military Award – Woodlands VFW Post 12024
- Community Entry Award – The Woodlands Rotary Club
- Youth Entry Award – American Heritage Girls Troop 1180
- Most Enthusiastic Award – San Jacinto Girl Scouts
- Best Professionally Built Commercial Float – Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center
- President's Choice Award – Texas Truck Works
The 2024 South Montgomery County 4th of July Parade Community Celebrity Parade judges who selected the award winners included Lieutenant General Steven Hummer, The Honorable John Escoto, Nicole Preston, Erik Secrest, Bruce Tough, and Angela Branch.
The South County Fourth of July Committee is a 501(c)(3) corporation funded by community donations and sponsorships, comprised of dedicated volunteers responsible for the annual 4th of July Parade in The Woodlands area. The parade was originally organized by The Woodlands Lions Club in the late 1970s before the formation of The South County Fourth of July Committee in the early 1990s.
