Tomball ISD named a 2025 Top Workplace
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Tomball ISD has been named one of the Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces for 2025, earning this distinction among just over 200 organizations across the Greater Houston area and just 72 with 500+ employees. Tomball ISD proudly ranks as the highest-ranked educational workplace on this year’s list, a reflection of the District’s strong culture, dedicated leadership, and commitment by its more than 3,000 employees.
This recognition is based entirely on employee feedback, collected via an anonymous third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC, the organization behind the Top Workplaces program. According to the Top Workplaces methodology, there are no judges, no pay-to-play tactics, and the ranking is built on trust in authentic employee voices rather than marketing pitches.
The program has surveyed and recognized over 70,000 organizations who are “driven by purpose,” and highlights those that listen to their people and build cultures where both people and performance thrive.
“Earning this distinction means so much because it validates the culture we’ve built together—one where our employees feel valued, supported, and proud to work in Tomball ISD.,” said Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora, Tomball ISD Superintendent. “This recognition belongs to our incredible staff, who bring their best to our students each and every day.”
Tomball ISD’s success is also strengthened by a supportive and visionary Board of Trustees, whose leadership ensures that the District continues to invest in its people, programs, and future growth. Under the direction of Dr. Salazar-Zamora, an enterprise Superintendent recognized statewide as a visionary leader who pushes boundaries and drives innovation, Tomball ISD continues to set a standard for what a forward-thinking public school district can be.
“We are committed to maintaining a workplace that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth,” added Dr. Salazar-Zamora. “Our employees are the heart of this district, and together, we are shaping a future that inspires excellence at every level.”
In addition to being named a Top Workplace, Tomball ISD is also according to Niche rankings, the No. 1 School District in Harris County for the seventh consecutive year, and the No. 1 Best Place to Teach and No. 1 District with the Best Teachers in Harris County. Tomball ISD also was the only A rated school district in both Harris and Montgomery counties.
