Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Serial Burglar in The Woodlands, TX
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, South County Command received multiple reports of Burglary of Motor Vehicles at two apartment complexes in The Woodlands: 333 Holly Creek and 4545 South Panther Creek. The offenses occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Deputies with The Woodlands Township Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) initiated an investigation, quickly identifying a suspect vehicle. Within 10 hours of the initial calls, CRU deputies identified the suspect as Cornelius Graves, and an arrest warrant was obtained for his involvement in the burglaries.
On Thursday, November 20, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Graves was located in Harris County and taken into custody by MCSO CRU deputies with the assistance of Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office. His arrest occurred approximately 30 hours after the burglaries were reported. Multiple items believed to be stolen were seized, and deputies are attempting to return those items to their owners.
Graves’ criminal history includes multiple charges of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon by a Felon, multiple Possession of a Controlled Substance charges, and numerous other offenses. He is also a documented gang member with the Houston Police Department.
A total of 23 reports of Burglary of Motor Vehicle and Criminal Mischief were filed in connection with this incident.
