Cleveland ISD Bus Driver Arrested in Conroe for Sexual Assault of a Child, Says Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office

CONROE, TX -- On Thursday, November 27, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of Royal Duaine Drive in Conroe following a report of a Sexual Assault of a Child.

MCSO Special Victims Unit Detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. As a result of the investigation, Detectives identified and arrested 38-year-old Jonathan Cranfill and charged him with Sexual Assault of a Child.

During the course of the investigation, it was confirmed that Mr. Cranfill is currently employed as a school bus driver for Cleveland ISD and is a former bus driver for Conroe ISD. Preliminary investigations indicate this sexual assault was in no way connected to Mr. Cranfill’s current or former role as a school bus driver.

Jonathan Cranfill is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail.

Due to this being an active investigation, no further details will be released at this time.
