BREAKING: Apparent battery explosion, car fire, causes damage at Woodlands area shopping center

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Emergency crews descended at the Target Shopping Center parking lot on FM 1488 and FM 2978 after a Honda sedan caught fire after an apparent battery explosion.

The subsequent fire caused damage to at least three other vehicles, including a Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz, and Kia.

Alison Wallace of Woodlands Online was on site, and reported that two Magnolia Fire Department trucks responded to put out the fire. Other emergency crews include deputies from the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.
