HOUSTON, TX -- Whether students are looking to discover their passion, transfer to a four-year university, enter the workforce or advance their career, Lone Star College System is here to help them become who they are meant to be.

Registration is now available for spring 2026 classes, which kick off Jan. 20 and wrap up May 17. The college system offers more than 200 degree and certification programs with in-person, online and hybrid options available.

“By investing in your education today, you can lay the foundation for a brighter future,” said Jamie Posey, LSCS associate vice chancellor, Student Success and Completion. “Lone Star College System is dedicated to student success, and we provide guidance along the way, including advising, tutoring, degree planning, financial aid and other support resources.”

Each semester, LSCS sets students up for success by making textbooks accessible and affordable. Short for Start Term with Academic Readiness, the STAR Bundle is a personalized collection of all the physical and digital course materials required for each student’s classes. While students can opt out if they prefer to source their own textbooks, they are automatically enrolled in the STAR Bundle program each semester for $21 per credit hour.

LSCS students can explore career opportunities in high-demand industries, including automotive technology, computer programming, emergency management, mechanical engineering, nursing, occupational therapy, political science and teaching, among others.

“Attending Lone Star College-North Harris has been a transformative experience that has ignited my passion for health care and engineering,” said Narjis Fatima, LSC-North Harris student. “It has equipped me with the skills and determination to make a meaningful impact. I am now determined to achieve my dreams of becoming a leader for a nonprofit organization, providing quality care to those in need.”

Applying to LSCS is free, available year-round and takes about 30 minutes. Comprehensive support is available throughout the admissions process. Visit LoneStar.edu/Start to learn more.
