Welcome to the final month of 2025… what a ride it’s been! Tornadoes but not a single hurricane in the Gulf all season. Extended summer warmth but no record-breaking heat. Perhaps it’s the calm before the political storm as the midterm primary elections hit us in early 2026. In any event, let’s start off December with a bang to make this one year to remember!

The Glow and Go 5K will take place today along The Woodlands Waterway beginning at 6 p.m. Dress in your best “glow” in the spirit of the Holidays for this quick evening race along The Woodlands Waterway. Glow and Go 5K is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department and is a USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned event. The chip-timed 5K course will incorporate the full length of the Waterway, providing a scenic route and fun, enjoyable atmosphere fostering friendly competition. The 5K race is open to runners of all abilities and recommended for participants ages 10 and older.

Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and their merry friends are gliding into The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center! Start your morning with holiday cheer – enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, and festive fun while you visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Space is limited, so be sure to register early! The fee includes admission and skate rental. A ticket is required to enjoy all program amenities. Spectators without a ticket will not be able to participate or visit with Santa and friends. Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m. All ages welcome!
Finally, don’t forget the Festival of Lights at Woodlands Church - The Woodlands Christmas Light Walkthrough Experience 2025 takes place every night through December 30. The event invites you to experience the joy and wonder of the season through radiant displays of lights that symbolize the light of Christ shining in our lives. They have added an exciting new Winter Wonderland snow area, lots of fun for everyone. They’re excited to invite you to a Christmas lights celebration designed with accessibility and inclusivity at their Sensory Friendly Festival of Lights on December 12. The evening offers a display of lights, and a beautiful Christmas story tailored to provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for individuals with sensory sensitivities and their families. Stop by the Embrace tent with your tickets and receive your fast pass bracelets and to complete a fun children’s craft.
