The Woodlands Fire Department Responds to Early-Morning House Fire in Creekside Park

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At approximately 4:11 a.m. on Sunday morning, The Woodlands Fire Department (TWFD) was dispatched to a residential structure fire on Gildwood Place in the Village of Creekside Park. Engine 107 arrived first on scene and reported heavy fire on the backside of the home. All occupants had safely evacuated prior to firefighters’ arrival after being alerted by the home’s smoke alarms. #SmokeAlarmsSaveLives

Firefighters initiated an aggressive attack, quickly knocking down the main body of fire from the backyard. Additional crews entered the second story and attic areas, where they encountered minor fire extension. The blaze appears to have originated in the outdoor fireplace, spreading upward into the roof and attic.

There were no reported injuries; however, the residence sustained significant damage.

TWFD received mutual aid from Spring Fire Department, Montgomery County ESD No. 10/Magnolia Fire Department, Harris County Constable Precinct 4 (Mark Herman), and Harris County ESD 11.

The incident remains under investigation.
