MCSO SWAT Team Arrests Wanted Felony Fugitives

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On February 24, 2026, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Operators, deputized as Task Force Officers with the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, arrested wanted fugitives Archie Tarr and Derrick Birdow.

Tarr, 38-years-old, was arrested on a Felony Warrant for Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled out of Montgomery County. Birdow, 49-years-old, was arrested on a Felony Warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon out of Montgomery County.

They were both taken into custody without incident and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office commends the professionalism and precision of its SWAT Operators for safely bringing these individuals into custody. These successful arrests also reflects a decade of strong partnership with the United States Marshals Service, working side by side to ensure fugitives are brought to justice and our communities remain safe.
