MCSO SWAT Standoff Ends With Suspect in Custody
PORTER, TX -- On April 23, 2026, at about 1:35 p.m., East Command Patrol deputies and the Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) responded to a welfare check in the 22000 block of Clear Castle Drive after receiving a call from a concerned family member. The caller reported that the suspect had removed his court-ordered ankle monitor and had active felony warrants out of Tarrant County for stalking and retaliation.
While deputies were gathering information and preparing to make contact, they were advised that the suspect was believed to be armed and had made statements indicating he would ‘not return to jail.’ The suspect barricaded himself inside the residence.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT and Crisis Negotiators were activated and responded to the scene. Tactical compliance measures were deployed which resulted in the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Dmarko Norville, surrendering without any harm to himself, law enforcement, or the community. Further investigation revealed that Norville was in possession of multiple stolen firearms and a large amount of narcotics.
Norville was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Assault Family Violence and his Tarrant County warrants.
