Chennault Aviation Offering Events for Youth and Adults to Learn about Aviation Careers
CONROE, TX -- Chennault Aviation operates a private dedicated airfield (25TX) in Conroe, Texas, integrating flight training, mechanic training, aircraft maintenance, and airfield operations offering high quality instruction fostering aviation excellence. Students of both Chennault Aviation Academy (C.A.A.) and Chennault Aviation Maintenance Academy (C.A.M.A.) can apply flight and maintenance training toward Purdue Global bachelor’s degrees in professional flight and aviation mechanics to earn 77 hours towards college credit.
Pilot students can go from zero experience to employment with a national airline in three years once they obtain 300 flight training hours, the required licenses. The aviation technician or maintenance program is an 18 month in person or online hybrid class where graduates may obtain immediate employment with Chennault Aviation. Scholarships, federal financial assistance, and supplemental funding are obtainable for tuition.
Hybrid classes are ongoing throughout the year. In person C.A.M.A. classes offered June 23,2026, November 2026, and February 2027.
Last month, six students from the C.A.M.A. class competed in Orlando, Florida for the Aerospace Maintenance Council 2026 Competition with 90 aviation maintenance teams from across the world and Chennault Aviation Academy was awarded 2nd place for professionalism and one Chennault student was awarded the individual first place award for professionalism. During the competition all six students received job offers.

Youth ages 14-18 can register for the summer session July 13-17 8:00am-12 noon Monday/Tuesday- pilot classes, Wednesday/Thursday- aviation mechanics, and Friday will be awards and final celebration!
