Parati Competitive Rowing’s Clare Mckenna Earns National Championship
Clare McKenna and Coach Michael Rosman
Sarasota, Florida — Parati Competitive Rowing concluded an outstanding showing at the 2026 USRowing Youth Nationals Regatta, with 12 crews and 43 athletes representing the program. As a relatively small club, Parati qualified the fifth-most crews of any team in the regatta, highlighting the depth and competitiveness of its program.
Following productive practices on Tuesday and Wednesday, the team competed in time trials on Thursday, with semifinals and lower finals taking place Friday and Saturday. The regatta culminated on Sunday with the Grand Finals.

• Men’s U16 Coxed 4x – James Straub, Bradley Jelinek, Nathaniel Davis, Dominic Reinhart, and coxswain Valentina Niembro finished 18th in the nation.
Head Coach Michael Rosman shared his thoughts on the team’s performance:
“This past year marked Parati’s 14th season, and it is incredibly gratifying to see how far this program has come. Rowing is a demanding sport that requires tremendous dedication and hard work. Success, however, is straightforward — it is the direct result of that consistent effort. Our athletes’ performance this weekend in Sarasota showcased the payoff of their year-round commitment.
I must also recognize two-time National Champion Clare McKenna, who perfectly embodies the Parati work ethic. She is consistently the first on the water and the last off, never taking shortcuts regardless of how grueling the training. Her success this weekend was a vivid reflection of that commitment. We are all excited to cheer her on this week as she competes for a spot on the United States National Team.”
