Montgomery County Tax Office Earns Historic Third TxDMV Gold Level Performance Quality Recognition

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- The Montgomery County Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office is proud to announce that it has once again earned the Gold Level Performance Quality Recognition from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV), marking the office’s third time receiving the prestigious Gold Level distinction.

With this achievement, Montgomery County becomes the only county in Texas to earn the TxDMV Gold Level Performance Quality Recognition three times, setting a new standard for excellence in motor vehicle services.

“This recognition belongs to our entire team,” said Montgomery County Tax Assessor-Collector Tammy McRae. “Earning Gold once is an accomplishment. Earning it three times demonstrates something even greater — a sustained commitment to accuracy, accountability, customer service, and excellence. I am incredibly proud of our employees and the high standards they uphold every day.”

TxDMV’s Performance Quality Recognition Program recognizes county tax assessor-collector offices that demonstrate exceptional performance in processing motor vehicle transactions and meeting established standards. Achieving the Gold Level requires a strong commitment to operational excellence, employee training, accuracy, compliance, and customer service.

For the Montgomery County Tax Office, the third Gold recognition is especially significant because it reflects consistent performance across an operation that serves a rapidly growing county and processes a substantial volume of transactions each year.
