Maverick MVP program opens doors for students
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Lone Star College-Montgomery Maverick MVP (Most Valuable Professional) program is a student-centered experience designed to help build meaningful connections, improve confidence and prepare them for future careers.
“Building relationships is critical in today’s work environment,” said Matthew Samford, LSC-Montgomery dean, Student Success & Completion/Retention. “Learning to network with other professionals can lead to industry knowledge and long-term professional growth.”
To help students better understand the importance of networking, the Maverick MVP program offers panel presentations with companies to help students make the important connections needed to be successful.
This semester, Maverick MVP students heard from PrefTech representatives, a local company that designs, builds, migrates and services enterprise security environments across multiple facilities, platforms and technologies, and BubbleUp, a full-service digital agency helping companies with digital marketing, website development and eCommerce fulfillment.
“Through engagement with experienced professionals, our students gained practical insights, developed valuable workplace skills and learned how to navigate their professional journey,” said Samford.
Spring registration is underway, learn more about becoming a LSC-Montgomery Maverick MVP by visiting LoneStar.edu/MaverickMVP.
