Lone Star Animal Welfare League - LSAWL

The Lone Star Animal Welfare League, or LSAWL, was founded in 2001 and is a 501 © (3) non-profit organization with the dedicated mission to "promote...not only better, healthier lives for the pets in our community but promote a better existence for the homeless animals who are in great need of our assistance and advocacy."

The LSAW was originally referred to as The Woodlands Dog Park Club due to their being the first advocates for more dog parks in The Woodlands, TX. The Lone Star Animal Welfare League mission and goals eventually evolved from just trying to establish more dog parks, but to also raise public awareness of spaying and neuturing through education, assisting and providing aid to local shelters and rescue groups, and raise the need for sale off-leash environments.  LSAWL helps those individuals who want to spay and neuter their pets but do not have the money to do so. The Fixing Montgomery County Spay Neuter Program has helped spay or neuter more than 2000 dogs and cats and helped vaccinate more than 1500 dogs and cats alongside MCAS.

The Lone Star Animal Welfare League is able to advocate and assist for animals in need through donations by the public. A great way for people who want to assist is for people to open their homes to foster and help place animals in need. Through fostering animals in need, people are assisting that animal in being more healthy and comfortable through a friendly and loving environment.

Please call LSAWL's spay/neuter hotline if you are on assistance and need help: 713-304-2444 or email the email provided.
