Purple Queen: One-Gallon Plants
Description
The purple queen plant is a species of spiderwort (a genus of new world plants). Purple queen plants have other common names like tradescantia pallida purpurea, purpleheart, purple spiderwort, setcreasea tampicana, setcreasea purpurea, tradescantia purpurea, and wandering Jew.
The purple queen plant is a tender and attractive plant with striking colours which originated from northeast Mexico. These species grow to about one to one and a half feet tall and wide. It has lovely purple leaves that are long and oval. Moreover, during the summer months, it produces small purple flowers.
