Franciscan “Desert Rose” Turkey Serving Platter
Description
The Franciscan Desert Rose pattern was designed & introduced in 1941. This hand-painted, raised-relief wild rose pattern became one of the most popular and best-selling dinnerware patterns in American history.
This item was made in the USA in the 1970s and is generally preferred over later iterations produced overseas in England or China
The overall length is 19.5", and is the largest oval serving platter Franciscan produced in the Desert Rose pattern, often referred to as a turkey platter. Due to its size, this item is much more rare than the 12" or 14" oval platters in this design.
This is a beautiful platter and a great deal for only $100.
