Minnesota Treadle Sewing Machine - Oak Cabinet
Description
This is a Minnesota foot-operated treadle sewing machine. It is very heavy and only two of the four wooden casters mounted on bottom are left. Someone actually repaired the belt using wire, which can be seen in one of the photos. Although it actually operates, as seen in the video, this is a just a conversation piece. The Minnesota sewing machine was produced by Sears & Roebuck, manufactured primarily between 1910 and 1920. It retracts inside the oak case, completely hidden.
