Eastern Bluebird Workshop – June 14th
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Join us and the Texas Bluebird Society (www.txblues.org) at Jones State Forest for a special Eastern Bluebird Program. Whether you're an experienced birder or simply curious, this free event is full of valuable information to help you support these beautiful native birds.

Topics will include:

  • Bluebird biology, diet, habitat, and behavior

  • Courtship and nesting habits

  • Common competitors and predators

  • How to design and properly place artificial nest boxes

  • Native plants that benefit bluebirds

We’ll conclude the morning with a 0.75-mile birding hike through the forest. Be sure to bring your binoculars!

The presentation will take place in the Forest Classroom. Free parking is available in the gravel lot at 1328 FM 1488, Conroe, TX 77384.

This is a great opportunity for nature enthusiasts of all ages to learn how to help conserve the Eastern Bluebird right in their own backyard.
