Compensation: Negotiable, starting $60,000.00 annually

Insurance/Benefits: No medical or dental insurance/benefits available. No 401K benefits available.

After successful completion of first 90 days, additional monies will be added to each paychecks as a supplemental payment to help cover medical benefits.

This a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch from 12:00pm – 1:00pm.

Highly successful and fast-paced real estate & development company in North Houston is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill a critical and key supporting role as Accounting Specialist.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.

· Heavy in accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks including but not limited to processing bills weekly, entering and printing checks from Quickbooks, creating accurate ledger, making credit card, ACH and wire payments, adding and managing expenses in Quickbooks, managing bank accounts.

· Collect, manage accounts payable mailbox, log all approved quotes and the payments made against those quotes in filing system in Outlook, Dropbox and spreadsheet, send subcontractor agreements and lien waivers through Docusign.

· Maintain, collect, audit vendor certificates of insurance, W9s, and database of existing and new vendors in Quickbooks.

· Assist with property management by collecting, logging payments, depositing checks and managing cash flow reports.

· Perform general office administrative duties including but not limited to filing, typing, copying, printing, binding, scanning, etc.

· Reply to emails, telephone or face-to-face inquiries swiftly and professionally.

· Complete research as assigned and update staff on researchable items.

· Handle multiple projects as assigned by office management.

· Stay up to date on projects and timelines.

· Ensure office staff and management team remain updated with the latest status of ongoing and completed tasks.

· Maintain a high degree of professionalism and knowledge of operations and job duties.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; BA/BS preferred.

Experience and Skill Requirements:

· Minimum of 3 years experience working as an independent accounts receivable and accounts payable role.

· Minimum of 3 years experience serving in an administrative assistant position or equivalent supporting role.

· Minimum of 3 year experience in Quickbooks Online.

- Minimum of 3 years with Commercial Property management experience.

· Intermediate to advance in Microsoft Excel and Google sheets. Must be comfortable adding and managing formulas, pivot tables and using other advanced features of Excel. We will test, please be sure you are honest with your self-assessment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Adobe, and can easily navigate the internet.

· Must type a minimum of 60 WPM. This is a requirement.

· Must be detail oriented and organized and must be able to enter information and manage monies and accounts efficiently and accurately.

· Self-starter, can manage cash flows, understand basic principles of property management and can juggle multiple tasks at once with ease.

· Problem solver and critical thinker.

· Dependable and punctual.

· Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.

· Remain organized and prioritize daily tasks and projects.

· Has experience communicating with business owners and has managed commercial retail centers, office warehouses, understands NNN leases and can help facilitate repairs with subcontractors and handle schedules.

· Uses discretion and judgment.

· Has reliable transportation during work hours.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Compensation: Starting at $60,000 annually. After an initial 90 days, additional health supplement payment will be added to each paycheck.
