Job Description

 JIU-JITSU KIDS INSTRUCTOR POSITION

 The Woodlands, TX (North Houston)

We are looking for much more than a coach.
We are looking for an educator, a role model, and a long-term asset for our academy located in The Woodlands.

Our mission is clear: to build confident, disciplined kids and teens through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, in a structured, positive, and family-oriented environment.

 WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Someone who:

Genuinely enjoys teaching children

Is calm, patient, kind, and responsible

Is reliable, consistent, and punctual

Enjoys teaching, learning, and improving

Communicates well in English

Is comfortable interacting with parents and families

Respects and follows curriculum, systems, and academy standards

Is committed to the academy’s class schedule (not focused on personal competition agendas)

 We are not looking for champions.
 We are looking for people who love to teach.

 REQUIREMENTS

• Blue, Purple, or Brown belt

• Experience teaching kids is a plus, but not required

• Woman or man

If you want to learn, we will train you.
If you want to grow, we will invest in you.

 SCHEDULE

Initially 3 days per week (days to be discussed between Monday and Saturday) during first month (trial period).

Weekdays: 5:30 PM – 8:10 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM – 10:45 AM

Paid for 3 hours per day, even though actual working time is slightly less

Ability to teach and manage children in a structured, positive environment; patience, emotional regulation, and consistency; clear verbal communication in English; professionalism, punctuality, and reliability; adherence to curriculum and academy standards; comfort interacting with parents and families; willingness to learn, accept feedback, and improve; teamwork mindset; basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu technical competence appropriate to belt rank.

Compensation:

DOE but higher than average
