We need a Lead Teacher for our Monday/Wednesday/Friday Three-Year-Old classroom. The children are 3 years old.

Lead Teacher Job Summary: Plans and leads daily lessons and activities for the MWF 3s classroom while keeping children safe and parents informed.

Lead Teacher Essential Functions:
• Plans and implements activities and lesson plans that promote children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development with the help of an Assistant Teacher.
• Oversees and coordinates the children’s personal care, hygiene, learning activities, specialized programs, and positive guidance.
• Maintains all classroom records including but not limited to sign-in and sign-out.
• Ensures that the classroom and other areas are consistently clean and safe.
• Informs parents of the children’s daily activities and progress.
• Implements program schedule for the classroom, outdoor time, meals, snacks, and special activities.
• Uses positive guidance techniques consistent with state regulations, counseling children when social, academic or adjustment problems arise.
• Keeps accurate and current records of each child’s accidents, anecdotal records, and attendance.
• Establishes developmentally appropriate room arrangement, décor, and learning environment in the classroom.
• Has strong working knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards as they pertain to center operations.

*Two years experience working in early education *Maintain at least 24 hours of training annually *Remain current on CPR/First Aid certification *Must be able to change diapers *Must love interacting with children *Must be able to lift 40 pounds repeatedly *Must be able to pass a background check *Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent *Must have legal authorization to work in the USA *Must be proficient in English
