Responsibilities

Teach SAT and ACT Math, Science, and test-taking strategies.
Tutor AP STEM subjects, including one or more of the following:
AP Calculus AB/BC
AP Physics
AP Chemistry
AP Biology
AP Computer Science
AP Statistics
Break complex topics into manageable learning objectives and create personalized lesson plans.
Identify students' strengths and learning gaps, then adapt instruction to meet their individual needs.
Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
Foster a positive, encouraging, and engaging learning environment that builds confidence and academic independence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field, Education, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of SAT/ACT content and AP STEM curricula.
Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand manner.
Patient, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about teaching and mentoring students.

Schedule

Part-time with flexible weekday evenings and/or weekend hours.
In-person, online, or hybrid (based on availability).

Part-Time SAT/ACT & AP STEM Tutor: Seeking a passionate tutor to teach SAT/ACT and AP STEM subjects (Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, or Computer Science). Must break complex concepts into manageable lessons, create personalized learning plans, identify knowledge gaps, and inspire student success. Prior tutoring/teaching experience and excellent communication skills preferred.
